Gracie is 3!

My sweet, spunky, vivacious girl is 3! Wow 3 years ago we were at the hospital (well home now, because I'm slow) thanking God for our healthy girl and getting to know her.

She is loving basketball and the hoop I found at a garage sale last summer for $5. She shoots and says 'Lindsay Whalen' we went to a lynx game. The home opener! It was exciting! The won in overtime! And I can tell you we only really watched the end of the game and the 5 minute overtime! But it was fun!

Gracie's birthday weekend we had a day at the MOA going to barbies dream house experience, on rides, the obligatory stops at the Disney and lego stores. We had lots of fun! Her favorite was the swing ride!
Then my coworker and fabulous photog friend came over to captured everyday moments. Then Monday we went to a twins game riding the train down and back. Nana and uncle J joined us! Tuesday was the actual day! We meet some friends at the children's museum, had lunch with nana a Salut by her new office and went to target for bday dinner groceries, home for quiet time and last but not least a bday dinner with nana and grandpa, complete with balloons, cake and ice cream! Grace chose the menu.. Chicken nuggets, French fries, fruit, veggies, cake and ice cream!

At 3 my sweet girl still loves feeling her moms munchie cheeks! She's wearing undies and doing awesome using the toilet and staying dry many nights! She dresses herself. She rides her bike although she's been more into her new purple princess scooter! She loves princess Sofia, Disney princesses, both her brother and sister, the neighbors, the backyard playground and playhouse! She is signed up for Prek in the fall! As 3 approached we've had a better time with listening and helping. We have struggles with her long hair and tangles and food getting stuck in it!

A few weeks ago we moved the kids bedrooms around and grace has our old big queen bed in her room! Since then the waking up at night has been way less! I think that toddler bed was just too little! She sleeps about 8pm to 7-8 am generally. No naps! Hasn't been for a year now. She can count to 12 ish, high but forgetting some numbers. She can sing the ABC's so we will work on letter recognition this summer! Not just those things but she's very smart and asks great questions! She's very helpful with her sister and plays well with Max! She's been a lego maniac like her brother!

Ww update.

Two weeks in, I've lost 4.5 pounds. Not a lot but I really haven't been that good yet. I've had a big birthday (Gracie's) and two weddings, twins game and a day at the MOA. Hoping this week gets off to a better start! But I'll definitely take the 4.5 lbs. And that's great to start slow and lose slowly. I can tell I'm eating healthier. Exercising more and just being conscious of my portions and what I'm eating! I love ww for the simple fact of eating food! Normal, everyday, what the kids eat food! No pills, no powders! Glad to have had these 2 weeks to figure out points, the system and portions. Hoping this is a good week ahead! Good luck to those also on the challenge!

Gia 10/11 months!

When you get distracted you miss a whole month worth of updates so 10/11 month updates will be together!

Gia is so much fun! She's walking. She's up and down stairs, she's understanding what we say! She's into everything! She leaves no stone unturned and no door slightly open unentered! She's figured out climbing up Maxs ladder to the top bunk! She then screams for someone to get her down! She loves to swing. She grunts and whines when she's trying to express her wishes. She loves her brother and sister and plays well with them! The walking has opened up playing in the back yard swing area for her! She's one of the gang now! Max and Grace are so wonderful for looking out for her and helping her! Max especially can get her out of her crib, up the rock climbing wall so she can go down the slide! And to Gia , he can do no wrong! It's really cute! Grace and Gia get along much more now!

She's sleeping pretty well at night from roughly 8pm until 7am or so. Some waking at night but less and less. Taking 1-2 naps a day. She is eating everything soft enough to eat without teeth! Yep, still no teeth just like her sister! She got beautiful darker blue eyes, equal parts blonde, brown and red tints to her hair.

We've got a count down to one on our hands!

Milestones!

Its do fun when the kids hit milestones together! This is a delayed post...

Max is reading his bob books recommended by his awesome pre school teachers! This is fun! I think he is memorizing it and guessing.. He knows the letters and sounds but hasn't out it all together yet, but he's trying! We will keep working on it! He recently got a new bike for dan the bike man! (My uncle fan who owns a bike store!) it is the next size up but also has gears and handle brakes! He can do tricks on his bike. He can come to a sliding sideways stop and go no feet!

Gracie's is getting used to her bike! She can go on a full dog loop! By the end she's tired but wow! She's fallen off a few times as all beginners do so she isn't totally gung ho as much anymore.

In other exciting Gracie news, she's wearing undies! For a long time now, probably close to 6 months she's been pretty good about going potty on the potty. A few ups and downs but she didn't want to wear the undies! She's doing it!! Since late April early May she has been rocking it!! It's do cute to see her little bum in shorts instead if pull ups! She's waking up dry more often than not!
Hooray for Gracie! This opens up preschool, vbs, and so many other options!
Finally, Gia bug... Where to begin with this little love? Some where right about 10 months so late April I was in Las Vegas and daddy was home with the kids. He got the training going well and I came home to a pretty awesome walker!! So she is up and down stairs independently! This scares most people but we say "feet first" and she gets down and toboggans down the stairs! She has started to try to face forward and scooch down on her butt. That's more scary, so we try to help her feet first but she's got a mind of her own!

So much fun and activity here!
