Last day of Pre School!

May 20th 2014

And we have a kindergartener!!

He is so ready! And we are do excited to have a fun filled summer! We will start with a BBQ at his future school and then a BBQ to dedicate the acquired green space from preschool tomorrow! Should be fun! This weekend we will make our summer bucket list! 

Max was the treat sharer today! We brought m&m's and apple and grape packets! Mac wanted to make sure everyone could have some! And there is a gluten free kiddo in the class!

Cheers bud! Next step kindergarten!

Starting weight watchers!

I've done weight watchers before. I bought the books on eBay and just counted points before and it's been great! I love eating real food that I choose and getting a sense of what my portions should be and what foods I should eat. As Gia heads towards being 1 and me weaning the nursing I want to be on the right track. I remember stopping with Max and gaining a good 10-15 lbs! So here goes nothing! I bought a 3 month online membership! Right now they have a deal that they are waving the joining fee! So far I love the mobile app! I bought it yesterday and played around with it and started this morning! I feel excited just starting! Maybe it's the sunshine but it feels good to take charge!

Meg's shower

Last weekend I had the pleasure of showering my cousin Megan, aka Judy! She is about to marry a really great guy the makes her light up! Really looking forward to May 30th! Here is the party in pictures!

Happy Mother's Day! 2014

As I sit here at work, pumping for my sweet Gia, I want to get this out there! First, to my babies! I love you so much. It's a deep, rich love that you can feel but you might not fully know until you become parents yourself. Sometimes we make sacrifices that really aren't sacrifices at all because I wouldn't have it any other way. I love, love, love being your mom. It's all I've ever wanted to do. ( Although, since I have to work, my job is the greatest! )

Next, to my hubby. Thank you for helping me achieve mom status! I'm totally biased but I think we have the greatest kids! So fun to co-parent them with you! Thanks for having the faith when times were tough and we didn't know if we would know this joy!

To my aunties, cousins, co-workers and friends: you inspire me! I have learned it so much from each of you! I know some of these lessons I will endure and hope to recall your wisdom! I have listened to you and learned little pearls from each of you!

To my step mother Julie- thanks for your love and support! It's so nice to have another support person in our life! 

To my mother in law, Lois! You raise a great son! We are so, so fortunate to have him in our lives and you as well! We are thankful to know that when the kids are with you they are well looked after and loved so much! Just wish we lived closer! Glad FaceTime fills the gap a little!

Finally to my momma! I will never be able to begin to give back what you have given me. I can only hope to be able to give so unconditionally to my kiddos as I have been taught by you. Your love and support are overwhelming and felt deeply! I love your love of our kids and feel so happy that they get to have as much time with you as they do! As I get older and have had my own kids I realize the sacrifices you made and it makes me feel so humble!

Kindergarten registration round 1: Max

Today I drove over to Dayton Elementary, actually twice because I forgot one if the 5 forms to bring with. It was nostalgic driving past softball fields I played at and friends houses. I kept picturing what the inside if the school looked like 30 years ago. When I went there! It's still the same with some face lifts. Funny how small it seems now but how huge it was then. I even recognized a name of a classmates mom that still works there! Crazy to think the next generation is starting there! I didn't get to see much and am so bummed that I'll be out if town for the open house May 1st. I hope I can go to the open house in August to look around more. I have been to the playground. I've taken the kids the last couple years. It's been a task on our summer bucket list to play at five NEW parks each year. 

Dear Max,

I have so many feelings for you at this point. I'm excited for you to begin this awesome adventure. I'm anxious because I won't be the one to drive you to school and pick you up. I'll miss getting to know your teachers like I have in preschool. It's a but scary to send your baby off on a bus all day. I know you are so ready and capable. I am incredibly proud of you! Just the past two years of preschool you have learned and grown so much! Seems silly but I don't know how you know all the things you do. I hope you love school. I know you love to learn and I hope that stays. I hope it comes easy enough for you that it keeps you intrigued for more. I hope you pass that on to your sisters because they look up to you so much! 

Hope we get to do do much this summer because we will miss you so much next fall! You are so excited to be gone just like dad all day everyday Monday through Friday. I can't believe it! It's so cliche what they say it goes so fast. But then it happens you you and it's true. And it makes me wish I had more time. Makes me sad I was so tired being pregnant with your sisters. We had fun though and still will. The best is yet to come our buddy!

9 months

      

This little lady is 9 months! Wow! It's been a whole month since Disney mania!

Georgia is a speedy crawling, Houdini in the high chair, gummy girl! She had her first ear infection this past month. Poor girl. 

Her dare devil level is very high. She navigates the stairs pretty well, still reinforcing going feet first on her belly down them! 

There is pretty much nothing she can't do! I love her spunky hair, with a touch of red (dare I say it!) to it! 

We love this sweet girl so much! so thankful for her daddy, awesome big brother, loving big sister and nana for keeping an eye on her when I can't! It takes a village! 

Hans bakery

Best thing to do on a rainy Thursday before heading to my work marathon? If you answered take a little trip down memory lane, you are correct! Nestled in downtown Anoka is Hans Bakery. It's a staple, a landmark. I can't recall ever actually going in but I can count how many times I've drives past it. 

I'll get on with it. They closed their doors about 3 years ago and then reopened under new management about a month ago! They happen to be around the corner from Maxs preschool! So, what better time than the present for treating my kiddos and mom to a donut! Tuesday we drove by after we picked Max up. 1pm and the parking lot was FULL! 

Of course we were not up est enough to eat breakfast there Thursday so an after school treat it was! 

No fewer than 15 people in line the whole time we were there. 

I'd say we all left satisfied customers! Next time we are trying the beehive. I guess it's a German tradition that Hans made. A treat layered with pastry and custard?! I love that the new owners are trying to stay true to the original recipes!
